You will construct a triple-masted sailing vessel using 603 interlocking plywood pieces that lock cleanly without glue, paint, or cutting tools.
- You track each step through illustrated manuals while practicing mortise-and-tenon joinery to raise a rigid 470 × 180 × 390 millimeter hull.
- You enhance hand-eye coordination and spatial planning as you position thirteen distinct canvas sail sections, rigging cords, and a raised gold seahorse figurehead.
- You finish a structurally sound nautical model that stands freely on bookshelves, desks, or gallery tables without needing wall mounts or adhesives.
- You reward consistent afternoon effort with a permanently durable desk sculpture that celebrates historical maritime design and precise mechanical assembly.
